ABA Scholarship Fund
ABA Memorial Scholarship Fund
The scholarship program began in 2001 and was initially named after the late Roger R. Maynard. Roger was the first president of the Arkansas Bowhunters Association formed in 1959. He was an active lifelong member, a firm believer in education and committed to promoting the growth of the ABA.

Since 2002, we have held a scholarship archery shoot each Memorial Day to help raise money for the fund. Proceeds from the archery shoot fund college scholarships, awarded to ABA members or their immediate family members.
The ABA Memorial Scholarship program has been able to provide over $40,000 to over 60 recipients. This program is a 529 education savings plan. The 529 plan is named after Section 529 of the Internal Revenue Code which created these types of savings plans in 1996.
To apply for a 2025 scholarship, download the form and mail or email the completed form to the address below. A common question we are asked is “What is an eligible educational institution?”
An eligible educational institution is generally any college, university, vocational school, or other post secondary educational institution eligible to participate in a student aid program administered by the U.S. Department of Education.
